Resonating Residues #14

Belfast14a.gif

Blythe Street, Sandy Row, Belfast - April 2006.

The image on far left depicts a mounted William III crossing the Boyne River, Co. Meath. Text reads, ‘King William III Prince of Orange 1690 - 1990. Battle of the Boyne July 1690’. The image also includes two riflemen, and to the right of the building a large portrait of Brigadier John McMichael, with the UDA crest above. The text reads, ‘Murdered by the Enemies 22nd December 1987 – We forget him not’. Notice the painted kerb-stones and lamp-post in Union colours.
