The Ambush #1

TheAmbush00.jpg

Somewhere near Gubba (western Ethiopia).

A military convoy was attacked in the late 1980s by guerrilla fighters. They chose a narrow mountain pass, heavily forested, to set an ambush. According to the archaeological remains, the guerrilla used hand grenades, RPGs, assault rifles and probably land mines to destroy four trucks, one of which was transporting a ZSU-23 anti-aircraft gun.
What did really happen here? How many men were killed? How did they die? Did anyone manage to escape?
