Known unto God #3

Caen.jpg

Touffréville (Normandy).

A box of ammunition belonging to a German MG-34 or MG-42 machine gun. It lies amidst stones removed from a field during plowing, close to the trench that surrounds the village of Touffréville. The village was witness of the fight between British parachutists and German soldiers in June 1944.
How many people were killed by the contents of this box? Dozens? None?
